To ensure we can provide a safe and healthy environment for home and business owners, we offer a wide range of environmental services, including the following:
Mould Inspection, Analysis, and Removal
If you believe you have a mould problem, it is important that you have an inspection performed quickly. This can tell you the severity of the issue, the amount of growth, and identify the cause. During an analysis, we take air and mould samples to determine what areas of your home have been affected and which type of mould is present. Our team can then take the necessary precautions to protect your home and remove the mould properly.
Asbestos Inspection, Analysis, and Removal
Asbestos is often found in older buildings. It is commonly located in the insulation, paint, vinyl floor tiles, and other areas that require heat insulation or fire resistance. As it can be toxic, the best thing to do if you suspect asbestos in your building is to call our team of inspectors. We will be able to let you know whether you have asbestos, if it should be removed, and the best way to eliminate or contain the issue, if required. Samples of the air are taken along with material testing to help determine the severity of the issue and the best course of action to take.
Vermiculite Analysis and Removal
Although a perfectly safe insulation material today, most vermiculite used in North America until 1990 was sourced from a mine that contained asbestos. For this reason, it is best to assume that any vermiculite in your home or business is contaminated with asbestos. It needs to be assessed by a specialist to determine whether asbestos is present, and if so, the extent of the problem. From here, our crew will recommend the best course of action. If your vermiculite is free from asbestos, it is fine to remain in your home. If it is contaminated, we can safely remove it and re-insulate your home with new material.
Attic Insulation
Proper attic insulation is critical to maintaining indoor comfort and preventing your heating and cooling bills from skyrocketing. Insulating your attic is similar to wrapping a blanket around your house. It helps to keep the heat and cool air your HVAC system generates from escaping your home while preventing outdoor air from making its way in. Here at Templar, we use blown-in cellulose insulation and spray foam insulation to ensure that your home is comfortable and protected.
Basement and Foundation Waterproofing
A wet basement can lead to many issues for a homeowner. Cracks may appear around your foundation, leading to excess moisture, leaks, and potential flooding. The dampness creates a breeding ground for toxic mould and fungus, which are significant health hazards. These cracks may appear on the inside or the outside of your home, so it is important to conduct a thorough inspection to identify the source of the problem. Once identified, we can take the required steps to waterproof your home’s basement. This will ensure it stays dry and eliminate the conditions that allow mould and fungus to develop.
Energy Audits
When it comes to home comfort and energy costs, you’ll want to make sure your home is as efficient as possible. During an audit, our advisors will perform several tests that identify your home’s current energy efficiency. We can pinpoint areas that can be upgraded to prevent energy loss and improve overall home comfort. These are some of the things we look into as part of the energy audit:
The presence of air leaks and drafts
Your insulation levels
The presence of window and door gaps
The quality of your indoor air
The efficiency of your HVAC system
Electrostatic Disinfection
If you want to disinfect your home, electrostatic cleaning and disinfection is the best choice. The technique turns hospital-grade disinfectant into an electrically charged mist, which attaches itself to the surfaces in your home. These droplets completely wrap around objects, providing a deep clean. The mist is safe for nearly any surface in your home.
Community Support
With over a decade in business, we have grown exceptionally close with both our clients and the community we serve. Because of this, we enjoy giving back wherever possible. We strongly support the Red Door Family Shelter, which is an organization that provides emergency support for women and children affected by everything from the housing crisis to domestic abuse. They provide assistance and shelter for over 350 families every year, and we are proud to sponsor their cause.
